2. Tresemme Perfectly (Un)Done Sea Foam

5. Hot Tools Rainbow Gold Salon Curling Iron/Wand
Curl strands like a boss with a one and one quarter inch wand — it’s the ideal size for beachy bounce. Wrap hair around the barrel away from your face, making sure to leave the ends out. Try alternating between curling smaller and larger sections of hair for a more carefree, lived-in look, says Max Gierl, stylist at Mizu New York Salon.

6. Kardashian Beauty Medium Round Brush
A ceramic round brush may seem totally basic, but if you have thick or coarse hair, it’s your secret weapon for flawless waves. It smoothes out your hair’s cuticle (aka its outer layer), which makes it easier to manage. Wait till your mane is almost dry then begin twisting sections around the brush, blasting with heat from a blow-dryer. Go back through with an iron for additional bend.
Kardashian Beauty Medium Round Brush, $13.99, amazon.com
7. SoCal Curls Hair Curling Tie
If you feel like you’re hot tool challenged, this wand-free option is goof-proof. Microwave the headband for thirty seconds, tie it around the top of your head like a bandana, and slowly wrap strands around it until all of your hair is off your shoulders (check out this tutorial). Leave it on for 45e minutes or try sleeping in it: When you take the tie off you’ll have gorgeous waves — sans heat damage.
